The safety of our students and families is our top priority, and we want to remind everyone about the dangers of walking through the school parking lot instead of using the designated sidewalks. Parking lots are busy areas with vehicles pulling in, backing out, and moving unpredictably. Drivers may have limited visibility, making it difficult to see pedestrians—especially young children. Even at low speeds, accidents can happen in seconds, putting both students and adults at risk of serious injury.
To ensure everyone’s safety, we ask all students and parents to always use sidewalks and designated crosswalks. These pathways provide a safer route and help keep pedestrians visible to drivers. By setting a good example, parents can help reinforce safe habits for students and contribute to a safer school environment for all.
