Welcome back and welcome to Clinton to any new families here this year!
PAC is happy to announce we have once again brought a great line up of vendors for our Fun Lunch this year. Lunch orders will be due the week before the event. This week is the exception. All orders for lunch next week (Monday – Pizza, Thursday – Sushi) must be in by Friday night. You will notice the munchalunch site has a new look. They created a completely new website over the summer! We are learning as we go, so please pardon any quirks as we are trying to learn and navigate the new site.
For those of you that are new to Munchalunch, you must first create an account for yourself, add your child to your family and select their division and grade. Once you are in the system, you can begin placing your orders. Your order will not be placed until payment has been made. Please ensure this final step has occurred before leaving the munchalunch site. Also, it is easier to place the order for the term all at once, and saves PAC the processing fee. But, you are welcome to place your orders one at a time, or however is best for you. Your child may be a little picky and certain menu items may not be fun on their palate so you may choose not to order a certain lunch going forward. Please only place orders knowing your child will eat their lunch. A kid that doesn’t eat their lunch will be tired and unable to concentrate in afternoon classes. And they may be too shy to tell a teacher or other staff member they are still hungry.
These are fun lunches, they are not mandatory. Fun Lunch is a PAC fundraiser and a convenience for families to give them a day off from having to make lunch. We work with our vendors to keep costs as low as possible. We can not accommodate allergies. If your child has an allergy or food sensitivity, and you are unsure about a vendor, please do not order their lunch.
Please note: Thursday’s lunch falls on the grade 7 camp return date. Do not order lunch if your child will be at camp. They will arrive after school, so if you happen to place an order, their lunch will be in the PAC fridge and we will leave a note for the teacher to retrieve it for them.
Finally, if anyone is interested in helping distribute lunch, please meet in the art room at 11:30am on fun lunch days to pack, label and deliver lunches to class rooms. We welcome all the helping hands, as it is the volunteers that make lunch happen!
